Wisp silicone frame nasal mask
The Wisp is a minimal-contact nasal interface from Philips Respironics. The cushion seats at the tip of the nose rather than across the nasal bridge, and the assembly carries no forehead support. This version uses the silicone frame: a single moulded component with no textile surfaces.
How the seal works
Airway pressure inflates the cushion against the nostril openings, so the seal comes from the cushion geometry rather than from headgear tension. Overtightening the straps deforms the cushion and tends to create leaks instead of stopping them – if the mask leaks, change cushion size before pulling the headgear tighter.
Size options
The mask is supplied with a cushion, and cushion sizes are selected from the size options on this page. Sizing is based on nostril width at the base of the nose: the cushion should surround the nostrils without compressing or occluding them. Because the frame is common to all sizes, moving to a different size later only requires a replacement cushion, not a new mask.

Device setup
On Philips Respironics System One devices, select mask setting X1. This setting applies the correct resistance compensation for this interface. Do not block the exhalation port on the elbow – it is what clears exhaled air from the circuit.
Cleaning and service life
Hand wash the mask daily in warm water with liquid dishwashing detergent and allow it to air dry completely away from direct sunlight. Non-fabric components may also be washed weekly on the top shelf of a dishwasher. Replace the cushion once it hardens, tears or stops sealing, and replace any component showing visible damage.
Compatible replacement parts
The following part types are available separately for this mask: replacement cushions, frames, headgear and short tube assemblies with exhalation port. Cushions are the consumable that determines seal quality over time and are replaced most frequently.
