The Wisp Pediatric is a compact nasal mask from Philips Respironics, built for children on CPAP, bi-level or non-invasive ventilation therapy. According to the manufacturer's instructions, it is intended for patients weighing more than 10 kg. It can be used by a single patient at home or by multiple patients in a hospital or institutional setting.

The frame, headgear and cushion are shaped around a child's facial structure, rather than being a scaled-down adult mask. With no forehead support, the mask leaves the child's line of sight clear.

Materials and build

• Soft fabric frame and foam headgear in a yellow giraffe print
• Silicone nasal cushion with Auto Seal design
• Flexible tubing with a 360° rotating elbow and swivel
• Not made with natural rubber latex, DEHP or BPA

Fit adjustment and connection

A Leak Correction Dial at the base of the cushion fine-tunes the seal against minor leaks without removing the mask. ClickFit headgear clips let caregivers take the mask off and put it back on without changing the strap settings. The built-in exhalation port and swivel connect directly to standard CPAP tubing.

Cushion sizes included

Every pack includes three pediatric silicone cushions in small, medium and large, so you can switch to a larger cushion as the child grows without ordering a new mask.

Cleaning and care

• Hand wash the non-fabric parts (cushion, elbow and tubing) daily in warm, soapy water
• Hand wash the fabric frame and headgear weekly
• Let every part air dry completely before reassembling
• Do not use bleach, alcohol or conditioning cleaners

Replaceable parts

The mask is modular. The cushion, fabric frame, headgear and elbow/tube assembly can each be replaced separately when worn, and the rest of the mask can stay in use.
